Taiglach for the New Year

by Aunt Jean

Wishing you a Sweet New Year!

Mix & knead flour, baking powder, oil, and eggs until smooth.
Form into rolls 1/3" thick and cut into 1/2" pieces.
Boil honey and sugar in a large pot & add dough.
Then place in 375°F oven.
Do not stir until dough is well puffed and is just beginning to brown — then add nuts.
Let bake until brown, occasionally stirring.
Take from oven, turn out on a wet board, and cool slightly.
Pat until flat, with hands dipped in cold water.
Sprinkle with ginger.
Refrigerate.

Enjoy, and have a happy new year! לשנה טובה
