Penina Maier Jewish School

Tuition for the 5769 (2008..2009) School Year

Penina Maier Jewish School Tuition is $625 per year per child. There are no fees for children under 5 years old enrolled in the Kinder Class. There is a 10% tuition discount for families enrolling more than one child. Occasional field trips, if arranged by the teachers, may require additional fees for tickets and/or transportation.

Families enrolling their children in the school need to be members of the Congregation. It is expected that parents will also agree to help with volunteer opportunities during the year.

Regular Sunday School classes meet for 2 1/2 hours weekly starting at 10:00 am. In addition, supplemental Hebrew language classes and individual coaching may be arranged at other times and at an additional cost. The Kinder Class program for preschoolers meets once a month.

The Penina Maier Jewish School is supported by grants from the Maier Foundation, the Bureau of Jewish Education of San Francisco, Sinai Memorial Chapel, the Abraham Knepler Fund, and by dues of members of the Congregation. If you can make an additional contribution to help support the program, please consider it when you register your child.

Congregation membership, including High Holiday seats for all family members, is $600 for families and $400 for individuals and single persons.

A minimum deposit of $100 per child should be submitted with your school registration by September 7. Payment for tuition and membership is due in full by October 1, 2008. No one will be turned away for economic reasons.
